Dear Trish, We would like to say thank you for your hospitality. We stayed with you for 2 nights 23 & 24 06.2012 during our 16-day tour of Scotland. The stay with you was certainly one of our highlights. As promised, I'm sending you a commentary- please feel free to post it on your website. All the best and have a good summer, Yours, Jane & Hans Heck, Seehausen, Bavaria.

We stayed with Trish Davies for two nights at the end of June this year (2012). Although it took us some time to find our way due to the poor directions supplied by our German travel agent (Trish's directions were fine) and we were a bit sceptical, when we found the house was modern on a small estate, our forebodings were unjustified. As soon as we were inside, we were delighted. Trish made us very welcome and our room had a wonderful view over the garden to the forest beyond. Our twin-bedded en-suite room was spacious, the beds very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, satellite television, shampoos, conditioners, face cloths, hair dryer all available. The breakfast with fresh fruit salad and many low-calorie alternatives in addition to the cooked breakfast was impressive. We particularly enjoyed watching the birds from the breakfast room. (Trish has seed dispensers outside ) - siskins, finches, tits in abundance. There was even a half-tame cock pheasant parading around the garden. We found Trish's suggestions about where to go very helpful - bird-watching at a nearby nursery, Inshriach, the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, the Rochiemurchus estate, and the Highland Folk museum at Newtonmore were all well worth visiting. We really enjoyed our stay and found plenty of interesting things to do with Trish's help despite the bad weather! We can really recommend Balciuin. J & H, Bavaria

These are two photographs taken by guests Ron and Sue McIntyre. One being a Roe deer and the other a pheasant, both of these being in the garden at Balciuin and part of a variety of wildlife visitors to the garden.
